Accountants in South Wales

Hi,
Does anyone know of a good IT contract accountant in Newport, or Cardiff in South Wales? I'd like someone local as opposed to some of the bigger well known ones.

I have to say I think you are making a mistake. I used a local one and he was utter tulip. I've used two of the bigger contractor accountant firms and they have been excellent. Haven't needed to see either of them in 7 years.

Is there any particular reason you want them to be local so we can try prove to you it's not required?

BTW SJD are in Cardiff so you get the best out of both worlds.

Like NLUK said, you're probably making a big mistake by possibly going local. There are plenty of firms on here who are tried and tested. Their customer service is also second to none plus they're a specialized and tuned into to what contractors do.

Nah get one of the national ones. Mines 200+ miles away. Never even spoken to him but service is excellent.

Beware of local people who want a slice of the pie and are clueless.....

Theres a particularly crap one in Pontypridd. IPSE registered too (dont get me started on that one).

Thanks guys. I used Nixon Williams a few years ago. They were fine but remote but I guess if there is no benefit then maybe use them again.

Dunno about South Wales bit there are a lot of smaller firms throughout the UK specialising in contractors. You may get the best of both worlds: Small but expert.
