    Uber filth

Uber passenger pays £102 for ride as driver takes huge detour - BBC Newsbeat

At least they cannot get away with it, those lovely, lovely Londoners.

He took the hackney carriage office route although 500% cheaper.

Because it was Uber, he had a map of his route and got his money back. Try getting that in a black cab. Thousands of people are ripped off by black cabs taking scenic routes every day.

      A non-story really.

If you read the article, it highlights other Londoners conned by Uber, such as:
Uber user Jonny Bee was charged £93 for a five-minute ride across north London last year.

And it's happened before Uber ever existed. Minicabs are notorious for it, and black cabs have been know to do it too. The only reason this is a story is because it involved Uber so they spin it as part of the whole Uber vs Black Cabs dispute.

Spin it? Aren't BBC meant to be unbiased in such things?
