I had a 4x4 Sapphire Cosworth. Top Essex motor.

Was looking at a 1973 Cortina Mk 3 1600 GXL the other day.

Lime green with twin Weber carbs.

As soon as I got in the driver's seat and saw the recessed dials in that sloping dashboard for the first time in 30 years I almost whipped me cheque book out of my pocket there and then on the spot.

      Bloke wanted £4.5k though.....

I wonder if they want to do a feature on my 1989 Ford Orion 1.6i Ghia

I'm just about to spend another few hundred quid having bits of the floor welded yet again to get it through the MOT

I don't get the appeal of these old motors.

They were crap 25 years ago, now they are laughable relics.

Strange coincidence. I was looking at buying a copy a couple of days' ago. I have my eye on the first issue on eBay:

                  Modern Classics - Issue 1

I like the idea of them now that 'classic classics' are going for silly money. There's still some cracking 90s/early 2000 motors for very little money. I quite fancy a S500 Merc.

I'd pay up to £3K for that Rover SD1 look-alike.
