House prices predicted to fall for first time since 2008 – this is where's hit hardest - Mirror Online

First-time buyers could need to earn as much as twice the average UK salary - and in excess of £100,000 in London - to afford to get on the housing ladder by the end of the decade.

    And from the same article:

with the supply of homes on the market still tight, property values are predicted to be still heading firmly upwards. House prices are expected to increase by nearly 25% over the next five years.

And over the next 12 months, house sales are projected to increase across all parts of the country.

I'll paraphrase for you. A short period of uncertainty followed by BAU
