    Is 12x a good ROI?

I'm not that good at investing, but have sunk some cash into food securities. At the minute the yield is around 8 - 15x in a 12 month period.

Is this OK, or should I be getting higher?
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

I'd be looking at more. You can get that on an Isa.

      12 fold returns i.e. invest £100 & get £1200 back?

Or 12% invest £100 and get £12 back.

strikes me both are ahead of 3% MSE recommended bank accounts.

If its 12 fold send me details I have a few grand that could be invested.

        Yes, 12x not 12%

As I said, still quite low. When I invest if I don't get back 20x guaranteed then you're probably being ripped off.

So put in £1,000, a year later the investment is worth £12,000 (or £13,000)?

On balance I'd say fill your boots, in fact point me in the same direction I've got some spare boots

Returns like that are only feasible in Ponzi schemes, or insider trading.
I was an IPSE Consultative Council Member, until the BoD abolished it. I am not an IPSE Member, since they have no longer have any relevance to me, as an IT Contractor. Read my lips...I recommend QDOS for ALL your Insurance requirements (Contact me for a referral code).

Not at all. He can just be lucky.

                But what a humble-brag post.

WTFH : If you think you are skilled and not lucky then go all in. Remortgage your house, remortgage the kids. You could turn 100k into 1.2 mil in 12 months and then retire.

I'd be interested to know what you've bought ( and when ). Is it a massively leveraged product? And why did you decide to go into "Food Securities".

Without some more specific details then I'm afraid that most of the people are going to call bullsh*t.
