No. Turned out she was really wealthy - because of the inheritance from her father and grandfather, who were bigwigs in Hull, and my grandfather was very good at investing - it was all in stocks and shares. When she gave power of attorney over her affairs to my mother and my aunt, the first thing they did was convert all to cash. Just before the credit crunch.

Maybe I'll be able to retire and spend all day here!
