Confirmed for the 15th June at the Wharf (http://www.brunningandprice.co.uk/thewharf/) (its easy for me and Diseasex and was recommended by original PM so that's 3 votes).

Postcode M15 4ST

I will be there from about 5ish...

I think that I could wangle an overnight stop there. Let's see if the 15th sticks...

Have you purposefully left this until after Suity left Bolton before arranging this?

I'm sure I can make a pit stop if numbers prove appealing

I couldn't possibly comment (see general). But to be honest I was waiting until I was settled to work out how doable an event would be.

Ok as that is in my neck of the woods I may decide to ignore my mum's advice and meet some strange people off the internets!

Not a lot around Piccadilly however Northern Quarter seems to be getting new bars thrown up regularly a few have opened recently in Stevenson Square.

Depends what people want though.....

we are open to ideas. I really don't know Manchester enough to pick anything - I only go there for concerts not available elsewhere....

it will depend on how many people actually come as some of the NQ pubs can be quite pokey.

This Place (http://www.brunningandprice.co.uk/thewharf/) is okay - has some big tables and can sit outside if weather is good - also does 'decent' food and real ale.

so yeah probably need to get some confirmed numbers

Bit out of the way, no? Knott bar is a better location for people who simply want to pop in for a swift one, realise who they're sat with, sup up and F.O. ;)

I'm leaving it in the hands of others to pick the venue. Day looks good though.

Surely as contractors we are fully paid up members of Club Brass or The St James Club private members clubs so could meet there?

As I don't live in Manchester membership seemed pointless. It's why I'm no longer a founder member of soho

Have you been following my comments in TPD regarding one of the project managers at clientco. I currently have no need :smokin:

I did a short gig just off Canal street, there's loads of bars you can sit outside there if the weather is nice. Everyone was really friendly too. Not a lot of women there though, there was one who had a very large adam's apple though.

That'll be Victoria; usually in the bar at Via in the evening.

As I'm benched I will come along, assuming a subsequent engagement doesn't appear :-)

So before I decide on the wharf (it's convenient for the trains I'm catching back towards clientco) does anyone want to suggest anywhere else?

Given our inability to accurately predict numbers and the photo with a please wait to be seated sign I think this one is a miss sadly.

Beat me to it.

It was a really good evening. I was feeling that Tickety Brew ale this morning but glad to see the old faces again with the added surprise of TF turning up. :music: to our lurker for having the nuts to turn up and say hello. Nice to see him as well. That said after meeting us he'll probably not be logging on again..

Lurker : Who are you.
Me : I'm NLUK
Lurker : Oh... <pause> You are not what I thought you would be...
:laugh

Hope everyone got home OK and to TF for the list.
