Seemed like a good idea at the time

So when I was in Holland and Barrett I decided to pick up some nettle tea. I like a Green Tea, so thought I would try nettle as its a little similar.

Well it tasted quite nice, but I had forgotten one minor thing. I'm allergic to nettle stings.

So after about a minute I started coughing a little, then a lot and had trouble breathing. This has now subsided and I have what feels like a sore swollen throat, streaming nose and feels like stuff stuck all the way down it.

Personally I'm a little surprised, so just binned the lot.
Anyone else have an a allergy to nettle tea? Seems odd to me.

Not being an expert, but wouldn't drinking nettle tea be somewhat similar to drinking domestos.
    I'm alright Jack

Have you tried contacting a healthcare professional? Or will you just rely on the opinion of a bunch of amateurs?

After my triple IM last year, a friend did tough mudder. He was feeling bad afterwards. I told him to MTFU. He ignored me, and had disconnected a muscle from a tendon. Operation plus 3 months off work.

If you do die, I will not be a pall bearer unless there are 12 of us.....

That sort of sums up most of your life, doesn't it?

No, don't need to speak to a healthcare professional. Took a little antihistamine.

To be fair I heard your ex-wife used to get the same symptoms, but in her case I heard it was recommended she stop entertaining the local rugby squad.

Nettle tea? Does it sting when you pee?

It's not nettle tea, it's a nettle infusion.

You need to build up your resistance. 1 cup of tea tomorrow, 2 Wednesday, 3 Thursday, 5 Friday, 8 Saturday, 13 Sunday etc.
