Real Doom(tm) bug completely resistant to all known anitbiotics

    Oh Dear(tm).

    https://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/u-...003201349.html

For dear old Freako, this relates to an unfortunate Septic lady () who has contracted a UTI which is resistant to all available antibiotics.

    Worrying situation.

People will be dying from things we take for granted, like an infection in a wound or from food poisoning. Back to the Victorian era in terms of life expectency....

    Doomed!

A big part of the issue is with self diagnosis.
In the US where the big pharmas advertise on TV and in the media for prescription drugs. You'll get one that starts "Do you sometimes sneeze in the morning? If so, you could have early signs of Alzheimers. Ask your doctor to prescribe xxxxx it is the best prevention for it"
The other one is those who look to the internet when they have a problem, then read up on all the symptoms associated with that and then start to imagine they have the same symptoms. They go to the doctor and describe the symptoms based on what they have read, not based on what their body is experiencing.
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

And China. Too many people, poor hygiene and animal welfare, means it's a breeding ground for disease.

Strangely enough, it may soon be true....
