I need to get a photo printed to A4 size, not one of the canvas prints though - any online company recommendations for doing this ?

I would not bother with Apple. Even though the make is super easy from Photos or whatever. The quality is lacking, especially from the UK supplier I used. Not to mention expensive.
My local DM (The German version of Boots) does everything right up to poster size. Same day and dirt cheap."Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience". Mark TwainComment

What quality is the image?
I have a 9600dpi printer at home which does A4, alternatively I have a friend on the south coast who can print up to A1 at a similar level. (PM me if you want the details)
If you want pro, I recently had some samples run off by Welcome to 2M Professional | 2m Professional they were stunning.
A friend of mine (pro photographer) uses Home - Blissetts but that is for books she sells. The quality is amazing, but the cost per book is in the £thousands…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment
