No single market access for UK after Brexit...

...says German finance minister what no-ones ever heard of.

    As spotted in the Grauniad:

No single market access for UK after Brexit, Wolfgang Schäuble says | Politics | The Guardian

Best of luck in your next meeting with the heads of all the German car makers who'll be screaming for your head on a plate, Wolfie...

Would that be the same finance minister that threw his weight behind WV after the emissions scandal?

It may be the same, but I suspect he was wearing his political hat and defending one of his nations biggest employers. He doesn't seem to be doing that now, effectively jacking up the price of Beemers, Mercs etc by around 20% (estimated cumulative cost of tariffs and currency movements - can't find the linky thingy).

You seem to think car manufactures, big German businesses are the be all and end all of the German economic success. Typical outsider view. Quite the opposite however, a backbone of small businesses that focus on high quality and are generally privately owned are the real drivers of the German economy. And because they're so many of them they're able to adapt to the economic changes quickly.

I was merely trying to keep things simple for you.

Here we go - I knew those teuretters wouldn't be able to resist for long making embarrassing outbursts, and no doubt there will soon be more corkers to come

So you think UK will suddenly switch from BMW, VW, Audi, Skoda, Porsche et al to buying Rovers?
