VBA contracting

Hi,

Have I been looking in the wrong places or have VBA contracting roles really dried up in 2016?

Of the few I can see, the rates have plummeted down to around the £300-450 mark (and that's London alone, where they ought to be the highest).

Has anyone seen this too?

I can some contracts in London, VBA, £450 per day.

Not too many, but there are some.

Rates are dropping everywhere, and so are permie salaries for technical people. Welcome to the future.

I believe £450 is too low for the OP.

More importantly I thought VBA was now the equivalent of genital warts. (Something the patient wants shot of as fast and painlessly as possible...)

Often, there will be a team decommissioning it, as fast as it can be built

Sorry, I meant looking around on job boards, not necessarily here.

They seem to ask not only for VBA but SAS, R, MATLAB, Python or possibly even C# but are paying less than £500 for all that.

Shopping list requirements. If you see a contract now with less than 20 hot skills on the essential list, it's probably a fake.
