Do bears tulip in the woods?

Turkey poll findings were flawed - clarification | Clarifications and Corrections | News | Daily Express

To further emphasise that it was a hypothetical situation the article quoted extensively from Malcolm Rifkind, of Britain Stronger in Europe, who gives the opinion that Turkish membership of the EU is ‘simply not on the cards’ and that it would take more than 1000 years for Turkey to accede.
Although not hypothetical enough for Brexiters
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

But we know why Boris is keen for Turkey to join:

When Turkey finally pass the criteria, and they started in 1987, to join the EU expect Germany and France to veto them joining.

You mean what's left of Syria.

They will be fast-tracked due to their willingness to help out with the Syrian Refugee crisis. And I notice that Camoron went out of his way to avoid answering the question when asked if HE would veto Turkey's entry.

He could have easily say that he would not because one thing is for sure when this question is up Camoron won't be in place to decide to veto it or not.

                    No they won't.

Firstly every other accession country who has applied and wanted to join hasn't taken nearly 30 years to get in. Some EU countries who are now members didn't exist in 1987 at all or as independent nations e.g. Slovenia, Estonia Simply because they all passed the criteria to join the EU which Turkey hasn't.

Secondly all the newer members will veto their membership as they will lose the funding they are getting from the EU.

Cameron wants Turkey in because he knows that the older EU members e.g. Germany, France will change some of the EU principles.
