OK, bets on where the FTSE is by the end of today and end of next week(24th) and (1st)

I reckon 5500 by end of today, 4200 by the 1st.

Going to be carnage.

I concur. I'm planning on buying my next tranche of shares early July.

Between 5600 and 5700 by EOD today.

Will I get a free BJ from Mrs MF if the prediction is right? :smokin

5300 today, end of 5700 next week. Panic today, then next week people think again and realise it likely won't be that bad and this is a buying opportunity.

I could be wrong, it could start to bounce back by the end of the day today. Partly depends on whether Cameron and the Chancer both resign today, or just the Chancer.

Just stuck a load of cash in the pension - now, when best to spend it?

Why would you do it now? Market's going to tank. Best to wait for a few days.

It won't drop 30% in a week, they'd suspend trading before that.

I can see it opening 7% down, ending the day 6%

It will recover in time. You've got nearly 10 years until you are old enough to retire.

Bounced off 5788, now on way up to 6000, before heading down later.

So looks like I was right to bin all of my shares yesterday and lock in a 3k profit, as if I'd stayed in I'd be nursing about an 8k loss.

UU and SSE stable, as you would expect, about a 6% drop in line with FTSE. The banks and insurers though 15%+

A quick check on the Beeb and the FTSE is down 5% ( at 9:00am )

Interestingly the DAX is down 7.2% and the Cac 40 8.79%.

So from a pure markets view-point they are viewing the impact on Germany & France as more severe than that of the UK.

My own view of markets though is that they have the insight and temperament of 14 year-old girl who's just been dumped by her first boyfriend on the day One-Direction broke up.

It makes perfect sense - as we all knew Brexit was not actually going to affect markets that much all we are seeing is people speculating on the markets as a big change like this was always going to result in an increase in trading.

I've stopped looking at my sizable punts on Barclays and EasyJet :laugh

I thought about killing them late on Friday, as I knew that would be the last chance for the next 1-2+ years. Looks like I'm stuck with them.

Oh well, at least Sterling is heading down.
