Keep calm and carry on - here's what's going to happen

What is done is done. It's a massive mistake but it will be fixed in the following way:

The bad economic news will keep coming, don't panic.
It's a consequence of investors understanding Britain's weak monetary and fiscal position.
We need someone pragmatic and it should be Boris as he caused the damage.
And if he wants to make amends he will negotiate a deal with the Europeans that will allow for one of 3 things or all:
    - work permit access for Europeans who have jobs above a certain threshold of income. Once they have a job offer above 35K say, they automatically get a work permit, can bring their family and are the subject to normal immigration rules.
    - no access to benefits for a period of months (actually Dave already did this but no one noticed above the din of Brexiteer shouting)
    - show they have a certain amount of funds

    - free access to NHS for the above

In return, Brits in Europe will have to do the same. Fooking unnecessary pain but there you go.

In exchange free access to the single market.

    Job done.

Why are EU members going to destabilise themselves for the sake of one member? They all work to the same rules. That's why it remains intact no matter what you throw at it. There'll be no halfway house until the UK enacts article 50.

if only that would be an excellent outcome.

Assuming we stay out of ever closer union etc I would pay for that.

Cue lots of people getting jobs for £35K and then being laid off on the first day. Or getting jobs for £35K and giving £30K of it back to the person that hired them.

Cue lots of moaning about immigration authorities not doing enough to prevent this sort of thing.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

Boris? Pragmatic? Isn't it time for your medication?
