Client internal email signature - has my company website - is Kosher?

My email address that my client has given me (with their domain) email signature currently just says my name and title of contractor. Is it ok to include a 2 line message and link to my external personal website in the signature?

Yes. It demonstrates that you are not part and parcel of the client organisation. Just do it.

      Nope.

If you want to put your company details use your own email address.

Whe you say is it OK, for what reason? To demonstrate you are a company for IR35? It's not really important enough to push it and make yourself a target. It's acceptable for us to use the client tools as there is often little choice. A couple of lines of extra text isn't really proving much so have to balance it against singling yourself out for the wrong reasons with your client. There are much stronger pointers to worry about.

I personally wouldn't be over the moon about a contractor directing my employees/clients to an external website over which I have no control.

              No.

You are contracting into that client. You use their email.

If you are worried about IR35 or are trying to promote your own business, then you could always refuse to send emails from the client's system and send all replies and emails from your own account.
Of course if you do that you might be in breach of the ClientCo's security guidelines and be marched off site PDQ.

At my client, I have a colleague who includes a URL in his signature for his radiator bleeding business. It's perfectly acceptable standard practice.
