    Full Brexit very soon

Britain should deliver 'full Brexit' soon, MP says | Reuters
Britain should leave the European Union quickly and not be drawn into a discussion about watering down the voters' clearly expressed wish for limits on immigration, senior Conservative lawmaker John Redwood said.

Redwood, an intellectual leader of the Brexiteers in Prime Minister Theresa May's ruling Conservative party, said a swift exit that ensured tariff-free trade with the rest of the EU was achievable.

Mapping out options for Brexit, Redwood said parliament could accelerate the process by repealing the 1972 European Communities Act and then simply notifying the EU of the decision to leave, potentially moving towards an exit within months.

It is a constitutionally easy solution. It simply needs every single other EU member to agree to tariff-free trade in advance of the UK leaving the EU.

Or what it actually means is that if we leave the EU they get the choice to cease trading with the UK or continue trading in the same way as before - which obviously must have been a good idea as they were doing it before.

Maybe I do not need them to agree - I need them to see what alternative they could come up with in the event we did.

Where do you get this "cease trading" from? EU countries do trade with non-EEA countries.

It's obviously a shot across the bows of Boris Johnson, who has said he is quite happy to have a free trade deal with unlimited free movement and UK payments.
