So presuming 86k per year in London for a role where you are taking an immense amount of pressure and no doubt working 60-70 hour weeks?

You can earn considerably more than that contracting, even oop north. 40 hour week, minimal stress and 8 weeks or more off per year.

Yeah, 86k permie role every time
          I get up...

He can borrow 400-500k on that for a house, and make a fortune on the increase.

Contractors struggle to even get a mortgage.

I reckon he'll do just 37.5 per week with six weeks holiday. You bunch of mugs.

Best guess (not knowing your situation) sound like a taker. Esp @ 86k p/day. Fookin 'ell, there are footballers out there who are on the phone to their agents right now. You seemed to have blagged a good un, milk it while you have the chance.
