    Dodgy timesheets

One of the contractors in my team is adding extra (false) hours to his timesheets and getting paid additional OT as a result of this.

    Do I:

    1) Fire him
    2) Have a quiet but firm word
    3) Do nothing

Will come onto the other management issues later but he's a first time contractor and a right pain in the arse

          B) I would say.
Swiftly followed by A) with no need for explanations to the client, if you can do that.

If you're responsible for him it will look bad when he gets found out - you might be for the jump as well...

            Get rid of him.

                You have omitted

                4) Threaten to report him unless he gives you a cut of his extra "earnings"

                  2) Have firm word to suggest correct any errors in timesheets, if no effect then 1) fire
