    Minimum wage

So if you operate through your own contract - isn't your company legally obliged to pay minimum wage to , well, yourself as an employee ?

No. It doesn't apply to directors. You are not an employee.

Not unless you have a contract of employment. Google is your friend.

So does your company not pay a salary to yourself (being director)?

Some directors get paid salaries, other directors don't. It depends on how much work they do for the company and what the agreement with the company is over renumeration. As a office holder of a company can be an employee but doesn't have to be.

This is basic company information 101.
