    RIP King Bhumibol of Thailand

Within minutes of the BBC reporting this I nipped to the Wikipedia page to see if I could get there before it was updated.

But it was no use - Some gannet had already swooped, and updated the page to note his death, probably literally within seconds of the old boy taking his last breath!

Those Wikipedia editors post faster than AtW at midnight on New Year's Eve!

    why???

anyway he's a big loss. What a shame they kept him on life support while in a coma for so long for political purposes. He was a truly great monarch.

Shame about all the Thai military dictators he hung out with, while suffering under his life of luxury, protected from any criticism by prison-time. Yes, a great loss to the world.

Or do you think Wiki was updated before the BBC waited for a confirmed source

I sat in his car once. A canary yellow stretched Rolls with about 6 cabbie style mics for talking to the driver.

You don't need to say "apparently". Under English law, libel doesn't apply to dead people.

Thai law may be less understanding.
