Creating new lanes and further fragmenting the roads seems ludicrous to me. I'd suggest they simply say electric cars can use bus lanes.

We do say that but with adults it is generally used as a poor comeback when someone has already insulted you a few times and you have come back at them with insults a few times.

Then they would get the Prius which is a hybrid and other hybrids using them.

Personally as they are cars they should not be given any exemptions on the road apart from things like congestion charges and tolls.

They need to built better cycling infrastructure. You get more people cycling you will decrease air pollution, get people fitter (which is great for the NHS as it should help to decrease the number of people with diabetes) and create some more jobs.
