    Who wins from inflation?

Inflation means inflation, but who wins? - BBC News

Inflation is the only salvation for younger people. It must be combined with low interest rates, higher wages and stable house prices. The three of those can be targeted by different methods.

Inflationary pressure will only drive up prices if people are net savers, are earning enough to pay more, or if wages will go up so that they can pay more. Those conditions are absent. Instead of price inflation, business models will change to increase productivity. That will take care of some of the inflationary pressure. Then it's a period of wait and see to check how effective the new business models have been. It's possible there will be nothing more to do.

Prices increase, wages stay the same, interest rates cannot be reduced further, economy trashed with Wrexiters, full on cluster tulip.

            There are no winners.

                Scooterscots predictions:

                1) Greece will not leave the EU. Tick. In fact they are expecting growth next year that'll risk outpacing UK

                2) The Euro will not collapse. 8 years ago everyone was saying it'll be gone in 5-years. If anything it'll be the pound that goes before the euro.

I'm sure everyone is aware that inflation has been below target for a while now. If it had been on target then prices would have been far higher than they are. We need a couple of years of above target inflation just to keep up.
