    OK had enough

I'm considering retraining, doing something completely different.

Jacking in IT and going into home automation & Electrical.

    Suggestions, brickbats & abuse welcome.

As an electrician you'll struggle to make more than £90K per year working part time. Something to consider against the incredible joy that 10 hours per day of coding can bring for half the money.

thanks its hot, I think the time is ripe.

Changing light fittings & sockets and popping an off the shelf controller in with a few customisations, no getting dirty!

Sounds like a great plan, get your Part P training, fill your boots.

All the Poles will be leaving soon, name your price.

The terrible thing about getting a proper recognised skill like being an electrician, is you realise you can emigrate to Australia, New Zealand or Canada at the drop of a hat, and miss all the Brexit fun.
