DEC as was used to have an interesting take on QA for new products. The development team moved on to dedicated product support post release and weren't allowed back to work on new developments until the call rate for their product had fallen to an agreed level.

When I do Javascript or Python the compiler compiles just about anything. The C++ compiler does nothing but find faults: what do you mean I have to spell variable names correctly, or pass the right type of parameter into a function?

Clearly scripting languages are the way to code quality.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

The only possible defect you would personally find would have to be a user error
