          Xmas Boom...

Where are you staying in Franschhoek? Will you have a car?

          Suggestions:
          Rickety Bridge
          Noble Hill
Babylonstoren (have lunch here, and go on a walk though the gardens)
          Glen Carlou

Haven't stayed at Mont Rochelle since Virgin took it over, but it used to do a very nice picnic in the vineyard.
Boekenhoutskloof has never been open when we've been there, but would like to go.
Haut Cabriere is worth a tasting
Lynx is on our list for the next trip, ran out of time last year.

Edit, just clicked on your link to La Bri. I hope you like wine tasting!

              looks wonderful.

Springbok Carpaccio & the Fish (it was like eating steak it was so meaty) were my favourite food memories over there.

              have fun.

Congrats! Is the SA trip business or pleasure?

                    Cheers

It's my best mate's farm - I grew up in Cape Town and we go every year...

I was there in March, earlier this year.
