    If you could work anywhere...

Thinking of doing one of these work from home jobbies where "home" could be anywhere in the world.

Is it actually practical to spend a few months in Italy a few months in Spain and then switch to New Zealand to avoid the winter? Or do you get destroyed by a tangle of red tape and different tax systems?

If in England what is a place near the beach with a good lifestyle?

Normal contractor rates, so money no object... But where would you live and why?

Essex cos you can live near the sea, in the country side, in a crap town, in a less crap town, get to an airport quickly, dye yourself orange and everyone will think it's normal....

Luton, because it's the top place outside London.

Surely it is possible to work all over the shop, you just need to make sure you pick the right country to be tax resident in and set that as the location of supply?

I'm not a huge fan of beaches. I moved away from one having grown up by the sea. Much prefer a vibrant city.

                  That's cos you were young.

When you are an old person beaches are "fun" for some reason.

California is perfect for working in the balmy outdoors.

In the UK... well Cornwall is stunning and has decent(ish) internet these days but transport can be a real bitch.

Lots of Scotland is very beautiful if you don't mind more tempestuous weather.
