    Poor taste or funny?

A BBC comedy sketch Real Housewives of ISIS showing a character in a suicide vest sparks fury among viewers who say it 'trivialises' the plight of real-life jihadi brides | Daily Mail Online

'It's only three days to the beheading and I've got no idea what to wear': BBC faces viewers' backlash over 'tasteless and insensitive' comedy show featuring the 'Real Housewives of ISIS'
Real Housewives of ISIS shows Muslim women discussing fashion and husbands
They take selfies wearing suicide belts as though they are fashion accessories
Sketch show blasted 'morally bankrupt' for mocking the victims of militants
Many in Syria have been kidnapped from conquered villages and are raped
Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.

Both potentially. There's plenty of precedent in comedy focusing on other horrible aspects of like. Life of Brian, Allo Allo are just two that spring to mind.

Seems clear to me it is mocking the idiots who leave their comfortable western lifestyle to be Jihadi bride - not those forced into sexual slavery.
Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!

        Allo Allo wasn't funny!
Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

        I preferred version 1!

            This.

White middle class lefties will be mortally offended that it portrays Muslims in a bad way rather than just ISIS. It's akin to satirists taking the mickey out of the KKK and being branded as portraying white people or Christians in a bad way.

Ever noticed that when the Mail claims that the BBC has "sparked fury" it's actually just one or two people tweeting mild dislike, some rentagob mouthing off for attention, or anonymous sources (aka the journalist at the next desk) providing quotes that sound like something no real person would say in a million years?

I do hope you're not suggesting that the Mail isn't a well reasoned, highly regarded source of independent and unbiased news?

                  Never noticed that before.
                  Nope, never.
                  Are you sure?

They are talking about this on LBC and some of the Lefties are funny.
