It is worrying. Trump despises the EU, Russia looking for opportunities, the UK pouring fuel on the fire.
Does the UK seriously welcome conflict on the continent? I hope not. But then with Libya, Iraq, who knows... it seems history has taught us nothing."Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience". Mark TwainComment

“A fascist is one whose lust for money or power is combined with such an intensity of intolerance toward those of other races, parties, classes, religions, cultures, regions or nations as to make him ruthless in his use of deceit or violence to attain his ends.”The very concept of objective truth is fading out of the world. Lies will pass into history.A family with the wrong members in control; that, perhaps, is as near as one can come to describing England in a phrase. In a fascist system, it's not the lies that count but the muddying. When citizens can't tell real news from fake, they give up their demands for accountability bit by bit.“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.”Comment

I don't know why it now comes to mind, it just does... Perhaps because reason and common-sense now find themselves outnumbered. Just as Horatius did at the bridge of Tiber.
Then out spake brave Horatius, the Captain of the gate:
To every man upon this earth Death cometh soon or late.
And how can a man die better
Than facing fearful odds,
For the ashes of his fathers,
And the temples of his Gods.Last edited by scooterscot; 17 January 2017, 20:45."Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience". Mark TwainComment

And for Scooter, Libya was led by the French as much as the UK.
I joked about the UK and Russia divvying up Europe a few weeks ago. We would have to give the French a bit too though.Comment

UK conflicts have had a great hand in displacing many around the world, who naturally came to Europe looking for peace. And now it is your wish to see it raised in conflict.
