They have "good will" or "paper" losses - reduction in valuation of acquisitions they made using their own overpriced shares.

They make heaps of cash and lots of losses.

Cash != profit.

They have good accountants. I used to work for Vodafone and I have never, ever (with the exception of Three UK) seen a company with so much money on hand. A ten thousand is nothing to these people.
