Salad producer based in underground ex-air raid shelter seals supermarket deal - BT

A farm based in a former air raid shelter beneath a London high street has begun selling its salads to a major supermarket.

Growing Underground is selling five salad mixes in its first range through online supermarket Ocado in the first major retail deal for the five-year-old business.

Co-founder Steven Dring said the farm under Clapham High Street had "huge potential" for expansion and was currently using just one eighth of 65,000 square feet available in its current location.
