British electoral law is founded on the principle of a level playing field and controlling campaign spending is the key plank of that. The law states that different campaigns must not work together unless they declare their expenditure jointly. This controls spending limits so that no side can effectively “buy” an election.

But this signed legal document – a document that was never meant to be made public and was leaked by a concerned source – connects both Vote Leave and Leave.EU’s data firms directly to Robert Mercer, the American billionaire who bankrolled Donald Trump.

Robert Mercer is a well know enemy of the Establishment and friend of the working man.

So where does Obama coming over here and tell us to get to the back of the queue fit in?

You, my son, should expand your newspaper reading list.

If you know of someone funding Obama in breach of electoral law, you must report him immediately. Otherwise, you are just obfuscating again.

A factual statement about US-UK relations, as we now know.

Trump puts UK at the back of the queue (http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/donald-trump-britain-back-queue-trade-deal-eu-angela-merkel-brexit-a7696376.html)

And what the Independent actually said was:

"Donald Trump has bumped Britain down the queue for a new free trade agreement after Angela Merkel convinced him he should first strike a deal with the EU, it has been claimed... Citing American officials, The Times reported Mr Trump was now convinced making an agreement with Europe would be easier than he had thought."

CPS announces no charges in Conservative Party election spending investigation (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/05/10/cps-announce-no-charges-conservative-party-election-spending/)

The CPS don't seem to think there is much wrong in all this.......

Sounds like sour grapes to me. Best we get used to it as June 8th starts to appear over the hill.....

And how is this relevant to the Brexit referendum?

Because if they were of a mind to get up to any shenanigans then they would utilise such tactics on any and all electioneering/referendums.
