Deflecting From The Election - Lions Unofficial First Test Tomorrow

Good luck to the British & Irish Lions tomorrow against the Crusaders. 8 All Blacks in the starting 15, 6 of which in the pack. So toughest test so far, Lions need to step it up a notch...

Anyone going to be watching ? Love the Lions !

I'll be watching. After the match against the Blues, I'm not holding out much hope.
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

If Mrs Barrett had popped out a few more it could have been the Lions against the Barrett's, and the Lions would still come up second best.

Hopefully the combinations will start sparking and some of the form returns, otherwise it's going to be a long tour for them. The pace of the game and the offloading in NZ doesn't suit the Northern Hemisphere way of playing - Gatland gets a bit of stick for Warrenball, but that's just the way the game is played up here and he'll need to stick to boring jersey-up-the-jumper if winning is an objective.
