Both Richard Nixon and George Bush (Sr) were in Dallas that day, and both separately claimed later that they couldn't remember where they were. The only Americans who couldn't remember that.

I saw an interesting programme that implicated George Bush snr in the Kennedy shooting. They were of the opinion he was in charge of a CIA cell that did it. Would be interesting to see some proper investigation around that theory and see what comes up. It'll never happen though.
