Cars, you regret to get rid of.

    1952 Merc 180 Grey.

Scrapped in 1973. Needed new starter ring. I should have repaired it.

Alfa Brera. It wasn't practical for where we live, but it was great to look at and great to drive
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

Had an issue with blowing out the pre catalytic converters.
Found the fix the day before it went

205 1.6GTi (even better than the 1.9 that I owned or the Renault 5 GT Turbo or the Escort RS Turbo.......there was a theme years ago!).

My Fiat 124 Spyder - but it was a death trap on wheels with brake pads smaller than a 10pence peace making the average breaking distance 2-light years.

You know it was going to be the only one in the car park, almost as weird as its owner. It could stand on its tail and had railway tracks for bumpers, no match for a Deer though

fabulous gear box, such a pity.

VW Polo, canary yellow with rust & hammerite accents, Bought it as an MOT failure, I spent 4 years trying to kill it, then gave it to my little brother who spent a few more years driving it.

weren't they all, a new starter motor was £80 so I had to save up a few weeks and park on a hill until I got a replacement (247 spares etc didn't exist then).

We called my Cavalier the "Vauxhall Shove it" as we had to do that every time we needed to start it.

But happy with my Dacia Sandero that replaced it.
