Hold on, isn't this what the Brexiters said they wanted - they were complaining that nothing was being done in the origin countries to stop it.
Now that a European has suggested it, the Fail and its worshippers have decided it has gone from being a very good idea to a very bad idea.

    Time to stop spinning.
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

...which our Home Secretary could have done years ago, but chose not to, instead Europe was blamed.

If you read something other than the Daily Mail then you would know that she has in fact been going on about this for a lot longer than Macron and CMD
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Eurosceptics demand action but keep their wallets closed.

It's like Greece, Eurosceptics are huge warm hearted socialists when it comes to spending other peoples money.

                  I'm alright Jack

                    Easiest thing to do.

They would have got a policy document from an advisor via a think-tank suggesting it, and it would have been beaten down as the foreign aid budget needs to be spent on bribing other nations.

(Yes I know they are different departments.)
