Bombardier to partner Airbus on C-Series jets

"European aerospace firm Airbus is to take a majority stake in Bombardier's C-Series jet project.

The C-Series has faced a series of problems, most recently a trade dispute in the US that imposed a 300% import tariff on the plane.

Bombardier's Northern Ireland's director Michael Ryan said the deal was "great news" for the Belfast operation.

About 1,000 jobs are linked to the C-Series, the wings of which are made at a purpose-built factory in Belfast.

Bombardier was accused of anti-competitive practices by rival Boeing, which complained to the US authorities."

How would that work after Hard Brexit?

Oh wait, it's clear that Brexit won't happen!

Just because we do not want to be a part of their political union it does not mean individual companies cannot make deals and agreements.

I know in your world everything should be controlled by the state and people are only allowed to fart if they get written permission.

But many many other people seem to want a freedom away from the bureaucracy.

And the UK is not bureaucratic and liable to get even more so in the coming years?
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Every country has a government - is that not enough bureaucracy?

Do we really need a further body on top of all those governments putting in more bureaucracy?

Then the UK had better leave all those other organisations from NATO, IAEA, EPO, etc. and so on who all have some say in what they can do. The way forward seems to be isolationism

Actually, Bombardier is a Canadian corporation.

I believe the Can-Am Bombardier is still the 2-wheeler of choice for our armed forces.

Not sure how this has any bearing on the Brexit angle though.

Will there be less or more bureaucracy around this trading relationship if the UK leaves the customs union and single market?

I think he means freedom to go about our daily activities without interference from the heavy hand of the EU.
