It's that time of year - I need ideas for my PLAN B.

Ok so it's that time of year I make an effort on a plan b. My other plan b didn't work out and the one before that didn't work out.

So I'm after an idea for plan B. I'm getting into VR, so any ideas for VR apps would be good.

Looking for something I could use my programming skills to make reality - over to you lot.

    PORN of course!

I think we are getting towards a point where VR instructions are needed for the very technical items or the very thick.

If I had the time (and money, TBH) I'd be trying to develop a small robot using AI to identify pests such as caterpillars and beetles on plants in a greenhouse and then destroy them or suck them into a hopper.

Sounds pretty low key and niche, but when used commercially it could literally revolutionise agriculture by avoiding the need for pesticides and would make the patent owner millions.

I don't think anyone wants to see me in VR porn, so may have to rule that out

What do you mean VR instructions? So, how to work your new TV with VR instructions, that type of thing?

mmm that sounds interesting, I was going to start looking an AI and identity identification which I suppose is somewhat related. I guess as long as the pest isnt fast or can fly then you may have a chance of a robot getting hold of it or sucking it up.

Also, you could charge selectively by species to which it would react, e.g. aphids, or slugs, etc (It might have to identify any species internally, but whether or not it reacted to any given species would depend on the payment package. Also some species, such as ladybirds or honeybees, are beneficial. So you wouldn't want it to simply whack anything and everything indiscriminately, especially when using it outdoors)

Probably the species identification and location wouldn't be that hard, by simply comparing time lapse images: If a discernible compact region moves, then assume it is a critter, then identify it, then if applicable dispose of it.

So go on and patent it !!! AFAIK, you don't have to construct it and make it work in order to file the patent.

How about a VR app on filling cars with the correct type of fuel.
