    Right, sorry its a link from the Guardian so it could be a lefty, feminist propaganda joke. But how cool is this...

    Clever the way it works

    Maybe a practical 3D TV could be designed as a large transparent bowl like a fish tank, with a magnetic field suspending a lattice of tiny metallic particles, with colour-changing lasers scanning these and illuminating them a-la article.

    Or the particles could be suspended vertically by microscopically thin transparent optic fibres.

    Crikey - I feel a patent coming on. This could make my fortune!
