Most things about Xmas are irritating at least, offensive at worst (trees, decorations, TV adverts, songs (Slade aaaaaaaaaargh)).
Xmas is a fairy-tale, it should be for kids, not adults.

I'm sure that tinsel which hasn't been properly risk-assessed is at least as dangerous as a mince pie.

actually - i worked somewhere where someone got an electric shock from tinsel after they covered their CRT monitor in it. Dozy cow.
