      What's your main requirements?

      Fast CPU?
      Long battery life?
      Lightest/thinnest?
      Full of RAM?

So if one laptop had the fastest CPU in the world, but only 1GB of RAM and was heavy and poor on battery life it would be better/worse than one with an average CPU, thin as paper with 2GB of RAM?

ok...ok....good battery, and 80-100Gb disk. Able to run Vista is a must, around 1Gb of RAM is fine.....
