    Coast Towns

Other half is suffering severe work stress and we are seriously considering the New Life and relocating out of the South East.

We are looking for a town on the coast (or within five miles) which is affordable from a property point of view and has good 'quality of life'. There also needs to be reasonable amounts of business within a hours drive so I can continue to contract until Plan B kicks off

What can the panel advise ? Best ideas so far are the North East coast

Anywhere around Seahouses is very nice (also very quiet and very remote from work).

      I'd prefer Weymouth meself though...

Largs is a good option, award winning chip shops too.

Moving to the North East coast, you're likely to notice a considerable difference in the volume of available work within an hour's drive compared to what you're used to...

The Isle of Man? n.b. Not joking. Beautiful countryside and clean air, mild climate, nowhere more than shouting distance from the sea, property not ultra-cheap but a lot cheaper than the South East of course, easy air links to London etc, and plenty of businesses. Some people do hate the place though, but worth adding to the list of possibilities I reckon.

As sea levels rise most will be under water very soon - buy a boat and live in it then if you don't like the local chavs you up anchor & sail away. Also good for avoiding the Revenue

Yeah Largs is great. Especially if you've got a boat. Watch out for weegie chavs though...

Do any of those ships cook their fish and chips fresh or do they just do what 110% of the fish and chip shops in England do and just dump everything in bloody great big vats that make the fish go tasteless and the chips stale!

Bah, you English have no idea about fish and chips. Then again, its another thing you guys start and those of us in the colonies take over and improve
