    Is this the end of linking to 3rd party content as we know it?

    Lets hope not. How else will we find out about the facilities offered by the Thistle hotel, Heathrow.

      Only for another 9 months or so. Then we can return to normal...

        One hopes, that it would be the linked website and not the website user who receives any eventual compensation.

        Otherwise, imagine that, CuK giving scoots compensation, for his tripadvisor review, which has been linked a multitude of times over the years the very thought should make us all

          Not if the Maybot completely caves in on you-know-what, which she shows every sign of doing.

            Voted, rejected.

            Aren't MEP's wonderful?

            Only 9 more months until we can revert to doing the bidding of JRM, lucky us.

              A stay of execution has been granted;

              https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-44712475
              "MEPs have voted to reject a controversial copyright law in its current form, deciding to return to the issue in September."

              So for now, Admin can breathe a sigh of relief at the prospect of having to compensate TripAdvisor and/or Scoots etc. etc.

                TPTB won't like that, MEPs are there to do as they're told, not think for themselves ffs.

                  If anyone’s interested in how their MEP voted, the list is on Reddit here:

                  https://www.reddit.com/r/europe/comm...ctive_by_name/

                  French voted for, Polish against, Germany and U.K. roughly split.

                  You did all petition your MEP, didn’t you?

                    Or, alternatively, the EU isn't as undemocratic as the ill-informed think it is.
