    New Car Accounting

    I want a new car.

Yesterday I test drove (and fell in love with) a Jaguar XK-8.

I could save £10,000 if only I could write off the VAT.

Is there anyway that a car can be bought by the company so that the VAT can be written off, and then sold to a company director?

The problem is I want a NEW car but they cost £55,000.

Get a van instead if you want to get your VAT back.

Cashflow? The fact that you don't have 55k sat on your driveway?

                It wouldn't - you're poor. Get a scooter instead.

                    Darren,

it still took me five hours to get home last Tuesday when the M62 was shut due to that idiot catching his crane on a lamp post! And the bastard didn't die!
