They might as well have asked some bloke on the proverbial Clapham Omnibus. OF COURSE Saddam Hussein wasn't a 'threat' FFS. The US and UK sold him most of his offensive technology in the first place.

The whole Iraq war was a travesty, and a tragedy, caused by a certain US president who needed to look tough in Daddy's shoes after 9/11, and a certain pathetic, power-hungry, UK prime minister who needed his sorry ass held up to perform on the world stage.

Japan joined the axis after Pearl Harbour therefore Germany joined America's enemy. Japan then attacked British interests in the region bombing Singapore meaning the UK and US shared a common enemy.

The US being a country of immigrants always has a problem when siding with any one side in a conflict because of it's own internal citizens from those ethnic groups (hence internment of the Japanese when it did start a war against Japan)

Them peace loving nazeeeeeee's werent a threat to Great Britain either until them war mongering poms declared war on them when the peace living nazeeees took a wrong turn and accidentally ended up "liberating" poland!

Its all very subjective really...wasnt/was a threat...although interestingly enough the first ISG report clearly stated that a WMD blackmarket was about to take root in Baghdad. But I guess its just much easier to close ones eyes and hope for the best aye
