    Cotswolds Recommendations

    Hiya,

Any recommendations for a nice town to stay in in the Cotswolds for a short weekend? Somewhere that takes longer than 10 minutes to walk around but is still quite quite old-fashioned or historical would be ideal. The missus likes antique shops and I like proper pubs. Not Bath.

    TIA.

      Cirencester is nice.

I quite like Witney in Oxfordshire.

TBH, apart from Bath, most of the towns are quite small and don't take long to walk around.

Witney is nice but the centre a bit busy and developed for shopping. Nice playgrounds if you have small children.

Broadway doesn't really meet your criteria (too small) and it's not very central, but I always enjoy staying at this place FWIW:

The Lygon Arms Hotel | Luxury Coaching Inn in The Cotswolds

As Prawny says, there aren't too many towns that take longer than 10 mins to walk around.

Thanks for the replies . Tetbury looks nice. Finding somewhere to stay with decent parking in Cirencester was difficult but some good suggestions.
