    Stoopid Bint

Has just plonked a card and crimble pressie (quite a nice one too!) on my desk - she's a contractor ... doesn't she know your not meant to do things like that!!

I of course have not reciprocated - what is the best way to recover the situation - pop out at lunch time and get her something? or bluff it out?
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

Take her round the back, as she obviously see's you as a bit of a sugar daddy?

Cheapskate! As a contractor you can afford to buy her a nice bottle of wine. And take her pressie in the spirit it was meant.

And buy some chocs for the rest of the office while you're at it.

        Cheapskate...yup

Pressies ... come off the bottom line

"take her pressie in the spirit it was meant"... Bah humbug!

Zippy are you female? - as this does seem to be a female affliction

Yes I'm a female (but I haven't bought the office any pressies or given out any cards). I do find it embarassing when people get them for me and tend to reciprocate. My contract is up next month though so I'm not too worried this time around - I'll probably just buy some nice cakes at lunchtime (and keep the receipt)

That turn of phrase just reminded me of 'Crafty Butcher' phrase from that great Viz classic the Profanisaurus.

                    There's also the French equivalent.
