The EU will never agree to it. So A50 to be revoked.

The EU will agree to delay if the alternative is crashing out with no deal.

They'll agree to delay for 2-3 months if there is a reason for it: General Election or 2nd Ref

Or a bit of tidying up to manage the worst impacts of No deal.

            Or not:

European Parliament election, 2019 will begin on Thursday, 23 May and ends on Sunday, 26 May
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

If the UK and EU agree on the withdrawal agreement I'd say the chances of the EU agreeing to a small extension in order to get the paperwork out of the way is a near certainty.

It would bother the UK as we'd have to have an election with very little point.

From the Graun. Sounds about right.

EU officials fear Theresa May is setting the UK on course for a no-deal exit at the end of June because she will not have the political courage to ask for the longer Brexit delay they believe she needs.

Senior figures in Brussels have been war-gaming the likely next steps by the British government, and believe a delay to the UK’s exit date of 29 March is now inevitable.

But they fear that the prime minister’s strategy of seeking simply to survive from day to day will lead to her requesting an inadequate short three-month extension for fear of enraging the Brexiters in the Conservative party.

                    Quoted for posterity!
