Ze Germans are totally screwed and to their credit they know it
Gone are the days of 1000 parts in an engine wearing themselves out with continual friction. Electric engines have no contact and no wear.
Never had the brains to do digital, the intelligence purges off the 30s and 40s wiped out the genetic intelligence.
It's a long slow road down. -

Ten most technologically advanced countries in the world
Germany has a long history of success in the field of technology development, especially in everything related to automotive production. In addition, Germany leads in Europe in terms of the level of technology and innovation. Spending on research and development in 2014 amounted to 3% of GDP, which corresponds to $ 116 billion. Siemens, which used to be known as a mobile phone manufacturer, now deals with a variety of technological developments, including innovations in the field of renewable energy.“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.”Comment

So if Germany gets whacked by Brexit due to 10% of their exports being affected, what will happen to Britain where 50% of their exports are affected. US tariffs will apply to all car exporters including the UK.
This is exactly why a real Brexit probably isn't going to happen.

We’ve rolled over deals with the Faroes and Switzerland, and will possibly have a few others, but for all other countries they will be applying tariffs on our exports in a No Deal situation.
Here’s the thing that Brexiters don’t get yet. If German exports to us become more expensive, we can’t just say we’ll import from somewhere else, because our tariffs apply equally to everyone. However, if our exports to another country become more expensive for them, they can just go to another country that they have an FTA with and import from there instead.Comment
