    Filing with companies house

    Hi

I'm having trouble filing with companies house. My accounts are balanced but figures don't go into companies house online filing.
    Figures are

    Fixed assets 6,000

    Current assets 17,332

Creditors falling within 12 mths 35,000

    Net current assets 52,332

Total asserts less current liabilities 58,332

    Reserves 58,332

So I'm balanced, but when I put in the creditors falling within 12mths of 35,000 it tells me it must be not positive?

If I put in a negative I'm unbalanced.

How do I sort and file the accounts

Your accountant should be able to sort it for you in a few minutes

You owe creditors so the value is negative. It's your net balance that's wrong.

          Nice explanation here:

I'm no accountant, but it looks like you've misunderstood creditors. Those are people you owe money to. Not people who owe money to you.

If you get it wrong, there are consequences. At least for the first annual return, I'd have an accountant either do it, or check it for you.

Net current assets are your current assets less your current liabilities, so based on these figures it would be negative - so too would be total assets less current liabilities. I'd suggest that you have missed something out of your calculations somewhere.

Are you trying to do all your accounts yourself or just your filing?

Your question indicates that you are not ready to do this yourself.

Worth getting an accountant for the first couple of years.
